Made these personalized passport covers for Farahanim.
Another embroidery job; a pair of personalized pillow cases.

I had fun cranking my NV-900 and make these embroidery.

Arwen’s Sunhat

A few hours before leaving for Pattaya a couple of weeks ago, I managed to squeeze in a sunhat for Arwen. It came in handy too and I was glad that she kept it on most of the time when we went out wondering along Pattaya beach.

A Knitted Raglan Shirt for Alif

A fellow blogger, Erpha Ahdayani commissioned me to knit a shirt for her handsome hero, Alif. Do visit Erpha’s blog and feast your eyes to beautiful smocking work and the famous sulam cabut Sarawak.  I finally finished it today. Sorry for the delay, Erpha. It’s going home to you. I hope it fits Aliff well :) I do enjoy knitting and making stuff for boys. Girls are so spoilt for choices.

Stash busting-Iphone4 Pouch and Passport Holder

I’ve been putting off making a new Iphone4 Pouch until I scratched the screen protector (luckily it’s the screen protector) having dumped my Iphone into the bag along with the car keys, purse, Arwen’s diaper and what not. So, after dinner, I started working on this prototype. No batting. The lining is some scrap black corduroy. I made it a bit wider than my first pouch as to make space for the Iphone cover that I had on my phone (the white border)  I added a small carabiner so I can hook the pouch to my bag or jeans.

Then, I made another quickie project; a passport cover for Arwen’s passport with Amy Schindler’s Hearts and lined with green linen. It’s superfast because I just edge/top stitched it instead of my favorite sandwich method. Turned out OK.

CD Toter 2011 #2

Motivated to make one to see how the toter would turned out with this pattern. There’s an open group ‘Program 1 Hari 1 Produk’ started by Zila Kassim in Facebook where I post my work. It’s a good idea to encourage crafters to create something everyday and not let the lazy bug sets in.

CD Toter 2011

I got started with online business after I posted my first CD toter here (then, it was a mouthful ‘Casserole Dish Carrier). Orders initially came from family members who have seen my aunty toting this during family potlucks. It’s been my signature product and making one again after a hiatus feels good.

For the benefit of those who’ve just seen this for the first time, I’ve taken pictures on how to use the CD Toter:

Top view of the CD toter

Slide in your casserole dish inside the toter through the opening. Bear in mind the toter can fit a square casserole dish as well. This dish is oblong.

Secure the dish by pulling at the string until the dish is snug inside the toter and tie it up.

And you’re all set to go!

This toter is reserved. I’ll be making a few more for some orders by friends and repeat customers. It makes an excellent gift and very practical. Do drop me an email if you want me to make one for you.

Heavy Cotton New Stash

Sunday was free and easy for us at home... My hubby asked what’s the plan while we’re having breakfast at our usual mamak shop. So I asked him if we can go to Nilai Square to get some material. He was up to it so off we went. It’s been a while since I last been there. I just got 4 prints and I plan to make CD toters with them.

Anybody fancy my selection? If you do, I can arrange a pre-order. I can go again by the end of the month if there’s a demand for it. I’ll be retailing at RM12.00 per meter. Email me your request.

Have a nice week ahead folks!

Handbag Organizer ver 1.0 with Amy Butler’s Lotus Pond in Ivory

Today, my girlfriends and I are going to celebrate Siti Hajjar Abdul Kader’s birthday. She’s the owner of Smokin’ Salma in Solaris Dutamas. She’s very much into handbags and everytime we go out on a girls’ date, she never wears the same handbag (unlike me, I’d go out with a diaper bag even when Arwen is not with me). I’ve seen hear wearing Cartier, Channel, Bottega and Dior. I’m sure she has more designer handbag in her collection. So, for her birthday, I made her a handbag organizer to make it convenient for her to change handbags.

I used my precious stash of Amy Butler’s Lotus Pond in Ivory and mixed it with green and grey linen. I’ve used this combination before for my lumbar pillows at home and liked it very much. It does look luxurious and can match the posh handbags in Hajjar’s collection.

All the panels are lined with light interface and it could actually stand on it’s own. I’m very pleased with the result. It has in total of 13 pockets inside and outside.

On the front outer panel; 4 pen/lipstick/mascara slot, one slim pocket.
On the back outer panel; 2 slim pockets to fit handphone, handsfree set, notebook.
On both side panels: side pockets with elastic opening to keep sanitary gel bottle, keys, sunglasses
On the inside: 4 bellow pockets and a large compartment to keep purse, small organizer.

This handbag organizer measures approximately 8” (W) x 6”(H) x 3”(D). I think this should do to fit average medium size handbags.

This isn’t my original design. As usual, I googled and viewed several handbag organizers in the web and put all the features that I like together to make this. Oh, and by the way, it’s reversible too so you can have two different looks from the same bag. Me and my never ending fascination to anything and everything reversible.

I have to go sort out my sewing room right now and find a bag to keep this present for Hajjar and give it to her later. I’m so looking forward for a fun girls’ day out today :)

Cosmo Bag ver 1.2

I made another Cosmo Bag, an Amy Butler’s design bag for Eda Hashim. She wanted the same Floral Swirl design and denim combo like mine blogged here.

You can really pack a lot of things in this bag. It’s really roomy, really.

I added the one thing I left out in my bag, a key strap. With a big bag like this, keys have a tendency to get lost.
 One zippered pocket
 Two inner pockets
My label... :)
